Your wedding gown selection is appropriately done four to six months ahead of your wedding date. This allows plenty of time for special orders and alterations, if needed. You will want your gown ready at least two weeks before your wedding to allow for cleaning and so it's available for your formal wedding portrait.

Be prompt for all alteration appointments and wear the exact foundation garments and shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day.

Have all dyed-to match shoes prepared at the same time and place. This will guarantee uniformity of color.
